Map the Strategy – Strategic Themes and Initiative ManagementDr Robert Kaplan, Harvard Business SchoolStrategy Maps describe an organization’s strategy. In this session, you will hear the latest developments in strategy mapping, including choosing strategic objectives directly from the strategy and constructing a strategy map around 4-6 strategic themes that link human capital and process objectives to customer and shareholder objectives. Dr Kaplan will present how to set targets for strategic themes and objectives, the process to select portfolios of strategic initiatives, and the funding mechanism for strategic expenditures (StratEx). He explains the role of theme owners and theme teams for managing the execution of cross-functional and cross-business strategic themes.
